There may seem like a lot of reasons to NOT love yourself that are based on standards of physical beauty, expectations of how you “should act,” and unrealistic ideas of being “perfect.”
But let me ask you this…
How is NOT loving yourself going to:
- Boost your self confidence
- Sky-rocket your unconditional acceptance of yourself
- Strengthen your relationships
- Heal the hurts of your past
NOT loving yourself typically results in:
- Unhappiness
- Self judgment
- Loneliness
- Fear
We all know how to NOT love ourselves. We’ve been taught how to do that from an early age. But rarely have we been taught how to truly love and accept ourselves.
That’s why I created the…

What Do I Know About Self Love?
My name is Krylyn, and my childhood was less than perfect. I grew up in a family plagued by alcoholism and untreated mental illness, which resulted in cycles of neglect and abuse. In order to survive, I developed some healthy – and not so healthy – coping skills, which helped shape the person I am and the work I am called to do.
I have struggled, sometimes feeling unworthy, undeserving, confused, and unlovable. I have gone from blaming others for my circumstances to taking sole responsibility, and everything in between. I’ve put others’ needs before my own, playing a victim when my inner resources were tapped and I was left feeling tired, resentful, and depleted.
But I’ve learned a lot along my journey to heal the wounds of the past.
Things like…
- The most important relationship you’ll ever have is with yourself.
- Loving yourself is a birthright, and NECESSARY for true healing to occur.
- There’s always something to be grateful for.
- Suffering is optional.
Not only have I dealt with the fall-out of not loving myself, but I’ve also helped my clients as well. I’m a licensed professional counselor (psychotherapist), certified life coach, and singer/songwriter who specializes in helping people use creativity to bust through fear, move through life transitions with ease, and effectively manage stress and burnout in order to live their best, most balanced, and passionate lives…personally and professionally.
I am highly intuitive and have a way of helping people navigate out of the stuckness that holds them back and propel them into life-changing, positive action. I have felt called to share my personal and professional experience and expertise with others because I believe we are meant to learn from our own challenges and in turn help others with theirs.
That’s why I created the 14 Day Love Yourself Challenge. Won’t you join me in learning to love yourself more? Enter your name and email below.
